color wheel

Warm colors, such as yellow, red and orange, seem to come forward in space.
Cool colors, such as blue, green and violet seem to recede or go back.

Analogous colors are adjacent (next to) one another on the color wheel. Blue, purple and red are analogous. Blue, green and yellow are analogous.

What are two colors that could be used as analogous colors for red and orange?

Complementary colors are directly opposite one another on the color wheel. Complementary colors are, red and green, blue and orange, purple and yellow.
